As I've written before, I've tried a lot of sex toys. A lot. In fact, unless it's a brand spanking new product, there's a good chance I've tried it. And if I haven't tried a specific model, I've tried one of its incarnations. While I have some bragging rights in the sex-toy-trying department (I've tested hundreds), there's one very popular toy that I'd somehow never tried: the Lovehoney Rose vibrator. Why? I can't say the rose wowed me at first. Unlike some brands that go all out with their packaging and presentation, Lovehoney keeps it simple which, from an environmental standpoint, I support. Although it has a hard base, allowing it to sit upright on its own, the rest of the body is made of silicone, with the top being soft and flexible. For me, that's plus; I've never been a fan of hard sex toys -- there's something so sterile and impersonal about them. Once the pink light stopped flashing on my rose, I knew it was fully charged and it was go time.
I've learned -- finally -- that to get the most out of suction toys, water-based lube is key. My lube supply is currently down to sample packets from different brands, so after fishing around in my nightstand drawer, I found a sample of Lelo's personal moisturizer (great lube, BTW). I applied the lube to the mouth of the rose, then made my way to my vulva.
What I noticed first was that the mouth is a fairly good size. Some clit suckers come with a couple different size mouths to accommodate different sizes of clitorises, but this standard size worked well for me. (To the best of my knowledge, the external part of my clitoris is average size.) I began to make my way through the speeds (there are six), and found that by the fifth one things got really strong, so I rolled back to the fourth to prevent myself from coming too soon. I found that the fourth intensity was a good place for me, but decided to check out the patterns (there are four) before I let the inevitable orgasm enter the picture. Also, I'm devoted to some proper edging almost every time I masturbate and in being a creature of habit and suspicion, I wasn't about to mess with my usual routine.
