LOS ANGELES - The Washington beach volleyball team earned a 3-2 victory over CSUN before falling 5-0 to No. 2 Loyola Marymount in Southern California.
Washington secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over CSUN, highlighted by key performances across multiple courts. and dominated court two with a 21-11, 21-11 victory, while and delivered a comeback win on court four, 14-21, 21-13, 15-8. The decisive point came on court five, where and won 21-9, 21-18.
CSUN picked up wins on court one, where and fell 20-222, 18-21, and on court three, where and lost in a three-set battle, 21-17, 20-22, 13-15.
Taking on No. 2 Loyola Marymount, the Huskies put up a fight but ultimately fell 5-0. LMU controlled the dual with straight-set victories on all counted courts. Despite strong efforts, Washington couldn't break through against the nationally ranked Lions.
The exhibition match on court six was Washington's most competitive match against LMU. Karolína Majerníková and pushed their match to three sets before falling 21-17, 23-25, 15-10.
