SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Brian Melick, Charlene Shortsleeve, Dan Berggren, Emerald City, SIRSY, Stony Creek Band, The Clay People and The Sharks make up the Capital Region Thomas Edison Music Hall of Fame's Class of 2025 that will be inducted during a March 24 ceremony at Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs.

Since its creation in 2019, the Eddies Hall of Fame has honored 48 individuals and groups. This year's inductees include artists from world music, folk, pop-rock, country and metal punk, along with a legendary Capital Region nightlife curator.

"The Capital Region's vibrant music scene has long been a cornerstone of our creative community, and the Eddies Hall of Fame celebrates the remarkable individuals who have shaped its legacy," Eddies producer Kelly Auricchio said in a press release. "This year's inductees represent the diversity and depth of the scene, and we're honored to help shine a spotlight on the talent and passion that continue to make our region a musical powerhouse."

Melick, an internationally acclaimed percussionist, has been featured on more than 450 commercially released recordings on independent and major labels.

Shortsleeve is known for her work curating nightlife at Albany's 288 Lark and was the founder of QE2 nightclub, which featured artists and poets including Sonic Youth, 10,000 Maniacs, Marilyn Manson, the Wallflowers, Allen Ginsberg and Jim Carroll.

SIRSY, the duo of Melanie Krahmer and Rich Libutti, has been performing together since 2000 and built a national following that's seen them touring for a living and playing 200 shows per year.

Country-folk outfit Stony Creek Band has spent more than 50 years as one of the most popular groups in the Northeast.

The Clay People, who fuse metal and punk, have built a rabid fan base both nationally and locally.

Capital Region pop-rock favorites The Sharks, a seven-member group featuring a three-piece horn section, remain a beloved piece of the area's musical legacy.
