Lucknow: The idea of social justice cannot be achieved till the BJP govt is ousted as it has lost people's trust, said Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday. He said BJP govt's end was inevitable in the 2027 assembly polls."The BJP has failed to deliver on any of its election promises. In order to end rampant injustice prevailing in India in general and UP in particular, the BJP government has to go," Akhilesh said addressing party functionaries at SP headquarters on Wednesday. "No one believes them (BJP) anymore. In 2027 assembly polls, no one will be able to save the BJP. Removing the BJP from govt in the state is essential to establish the rule of social justice and end injustice against the people," Akhilesh said. The SP chief had effectively focused on 'social justice' during his campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls and appeared keen to take the same route to underline his party's commitment towards PDA community comprising Pichde (Backward classes), Dalits and Alpsankhyaks (Minorities). Under the BJP govt, innocents are being framed in false cases. The bulldozers were being used against a select lot of people only and the 'pick and choose' approach of the BJP govt was aimed at targeting the deprived sections of the society, he said. "The BJP is playing with the Constitution and making a mockery of it. Corruption, price rise and unemployment are at their peak, and the administration is being misused," he alleged. Focusing on the recent floods in Prime Minister's parliamentary constituency of Varanasi, the former UP CM said the floods were a testimony of how people of the VVIP constituency have been left to fend for themselves. "There has been no development even in the Prime Minister's constituency and there is no explanation as to why the constituency does not have the best of the drainage systems and civic amenities. All of us witnessed the recent floods in Varanasi and how it pushed the people to the brink," he said. Akhilesh charged the BJP with (mis)using and exploiting the sentiments and emotions of the state's 'innocent' population. The SP chief dwelt at length to focus on how the BJP made the GST taxation complicated to keep the traders and businessmen busy. He said the govt has kept the youth busy looking for employment and searching for jobs at the cost of rampant unemployment and kept the middle class busy making the two ends meet with rising prices. "The govt has done nothing to contain inflation (price rise) and unemployment. Outsourcing cannot provide a permanent solution to joblessness and it only 'serves the BJP' as a tool to do away with reservation in govt jobs," he said.
