Three adults and a dog escaped safely Monday night from a house fire in the Village of Warsaw, the Wyoming County Office of Emergency Services reported.

Firefighters were called shortly after 10 p.m. to the blaze at 143 Linwood Ave. in the north end of the village and kept the fire contained to a second-floor bedroom. The rest of the house sustained smoke and water damage.
Damage was estimated at $60,000. The residents are being assisted by the Red Cross. The cause is under investigation.
The Warsaw Volunteer Fire Department was assisted at the scene by fire companies from Attica, Gainesville, Perry, Perry Center, Silver Springs, Varysburg and Wyoming.
