NDA will form the government in Bihar once again, says Nitish

Lashing out at the Bihar Opposition on Sunday (September 7, 2025), Chief Minister Nitish Kumar warned people not to fall in their trap. He was addressing the NDA's Karyakarta Samvad (worker's conference) in Siwan.

While addressing the gathering in Papaur village under the Pachrukhi block, Mr. Kumar said, "Earlier the situation was very bad. The Congress and RJD government did not do any work. I was with them for a few days, but when they started messing up, I separated from them."

He added that "the BJP and JD-(U) are old allies, and we are working together for the development of the State and the country. We will always be together. Since the NDA government was formed on November 24, 2005, we have been engaged in developing Bihar. Rule of law prevails. Do not fall for their trap; they are out and about canvassing in Bihar."

BJP to hold meetings with partners on Bihar strategy

The Bihar CM added that rapid development is taking place in all areas and special attention has been given to the education and health sectors.

He asserted that roads and bridges have been constructed on a large scale and 10 lakh jobs have been provided to the youth.

Mr. Kumar also praised the Central government and said that the State Government is receiving its full support to aid in the development of Bihar.

He pointed out that work has been done for all communities, be they Hindu, Muslim, upper caste, backward, extremely backward, Dalit, or Mahadalit.

"I request all the workers to go door-to-door and tell people about the development of Bihar. Elections will be held in a few days, so all of you should remain active. Once again, we will form the government after the Bihar elections, so you all should give your support," Mr. Kumar said.

He also laid the foundation stone of nine developmental schemes costing ₹558.35 crore in Siwan district.

Small business initiative

Earlier in the day, Mr. Kumar also launched his much awaited scheme, Mukhya Mantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana, under which a woman from each family will be given ₹10,000 as economic assistance to start a business of her own choice, creating employment opportunities within the state.

He inaugurated the process of receiving applications for the scheme and also the programme's online portal. Mr. Kumar flagged off 250 awareness vehicles from Sankalp, the official residence of the CM.

Through the awareness vehicles, information will be provided through video for the next 20 days at places identified by Jeevika across the state.

A short film based on the work done by the State Government for women's empowerment, and schemes that are ongoing was screened for the Chief Minister.

Opposition abusing Biharis

Meanwhile, BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal addressed workers' conferences in Keoti and Jaale assembly constituencies. BJP leader and former Union Minister Ashwini Choubey, and former MLA Manoj Sharma were also present.

Mr. Jaiswal alleged that the opposition was not only insulting women but also abusing Biharis. Taking a dig at RJD and Congress's Mai Behen Yojana, he said that these people were talking about giving ₹2,500 per month to women, but Nitish Kumar's government has just provided ₹10,000 to make them self-reliant.

"Ever since Nitish Kumar became the CM and Narendra Modi became the PM, Bihar has been moving towards development. The people of Bihar should not forget that 20 years ago there were more potholes than roads and there was no electricity, but now there are roads and electricity in every village," Mr. Jaiswal said.
