What's wrong with A.J. Brown? Eagles fans, fantasy owners confused by star WR originally appeared on The Sporting News
Confusion.
That was the main feeling throughout the Philadelphia Eagles' season opener against the Dallas Cowboys for everyone watching A.J. Brown.
Eagles fans couldn't figure out where their star wide receiver was. Neither could those who spent an early-round fantasy football draft pick on the stud WR.
He was, in fact, out there. He was, in fact, in his usual No. 11.
The sad part: Nothing is wrong with A.J. Brown, at least that we know.
For whatever reason, Jalen Hurts just wasn't looking his way.
Yeah, the Cowboys have talented perimeter cornerbacks in Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland.
But still: Zero targets for most of the game? Why? How?
Teams have so many ways to just get their stars the ball in a simple manner just to welcome them into the contest.
But even after the lightning delay provided such a chance, the Eagles didn't draw that type of play up.
Apparently Brown was being tested. He just had to go through the game without seeing the football, whether he liked it or not.
