A 23-year-old man was arrested in Hoboken after allegedly punching a woman in the face and attacking bar staff outside a popular nightlife spot, police said.
Hoboken Police responded to Birch at 92 River St. around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26, following reports of an assault, according to Sgt. Robert Roman.
When officers arrived, they found New Jersey Transit Police and bar security struggling to subdue a man, later identified as Abraham Knowlton, 23, of Skillman, authorities said. Video of Knowlton's arrest was published by Transparency Bodycam.
An on-scene investigation revealed that Knowlton had punched a woman outside the bar, police said. When a bouncer stepped in to help, Knowlton allegedly punched him too. He then swung at another bouncer -- but missed, investigators said.
Officers placed Knowlton under arrest and transported him to Hoboken Police Headquarters, where he was charged with disorderly conduct and released on a summons, police said.
