BOSSIER CITY, La. - It was an exciting night at the Krewe of Gemini den for the annual bead reception.
Members collected exclusive beads from the king, queen and captain.
Not only that, they also learned about the impact krewes like Gemini have on the community and economy.
Bossier City Mayor Tommy Chandler, Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser's representative Mike Walsworth and Visit Shreveport-Bossier Executive Director Stacy Brown were guest speakers.
"It's a multibillion-dollar industry for the state of Louisiana. They buy beads, they buy food, and it's fun. It's fun, and that's the great part about it," said Walsworth.
