'Glamorous' Goole care home resident treated to pamper day - Hull Live

A "glamourous" resident at a Goole care home recently received star treatment on a special pamper day in the town. Lillian Ayre's was treated to one of her favourite past times with the support of HC-One, the operator of Windsor Court Care Home.

The 76 year-old was accompanied by the home's wellbeing coordinator, Eleanor Martin, as she visited her local nail salon where she received her regular treatment. Having built a wonderful friendship with the salon staff over time, Lillian was said to have been warmly welcomed, with everyone delighted to see her.

Following the pamper sessions, the much-loved resident of Windsor Court decided to make the most of her day - taking to the shops for some retail therapy. Her trip continued with a cup of coffee at a local café. Lillian was thrilled to treat herself to two stylish new tops, which she couldn't wait to show off back at the home.

Lillian said she had "a lovely morning" and returned to Windsor Court feeling both happy and relaxed. Eleanor Martin, wellbeing coordinator at HC-One's Windsor Court Care Home, added: "It was definitely a morning well spent. Lillian truly enjoys her pamper days, and it's always wonderful to see her so full of joy after her visits into town."

Lillian is just one of about 50 people at Windsor Court - a purpose build care home with 77 beds that offers residential, nursing and residential dementia care. The home caters for short term and long term stays as well as convalescent stays.

Earlier this year, residents at the property took part in a community art initiative as part of the Art 4 All project, led by The Goddards, a local home for adults with learning difficulties. The programme joins schools, care homes and community organisations to create artwork around a shared theme, which this year was water.

Windsor Court residents produced an imaginative under sea display over several afternoons. Once completed the Windsor Court team took a trip to nearby Howden to see the artwork displayed in Howden Minster, alongside contributions from other local groups.

Ms Martin added: "The residents had a brilliant time working on this project. It was so much more than just art -- it was laughter, memories, and connection. It was a humbling and inspiring experience to see how much talent and care went into all of the artwork. From start to finish, it was a joy to be part of, and we're already looking forward to taking part again next year."
