Two cars have been torched on a residential street in Edinburgh.
Fire crews were called to Niddrie Mill Crescent in the capital after the alarm was raised at around 4.05am on Wednesday.
Officers received a report of two cars on fire and a third damaged as a result.
In an image shared with Edinburgh Live, a Land Rover Evoque can be seen charred with three officers standing around it and the area cordoned off. No one was injured as a result of the fire.
At this time there the incident is not being linked to the Operation Portaledge investigation into gang related crime, which has been sweeping across the central belt in recent months.
No one has yet been arrested and police say their enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.05am on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, we received a report of two cars on fire and a third damaged as a result on Niddrie Mill Crescent, Edinburgh.
"There were no reports of any injuries. The fire is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing."
