Fanwood's Performance Series returns on April 5 with folk music

Fanwood's Performance Series is set to make its return on Saturday, April 5 with a double bill featuring folk trio Lara Herscovitch & The Highway Philosophers and duo The Honey Badgers. The show will take place at 7 p.m. at the Kuran Cultural Arts Center, also known as the Carriage House, located on Watson Road next to Fanwood Borough Hall.

Herscovitch is a singer-songwriter-poet known for bringing authenticity, humor and heart to her music. Her songwriting has been praised by Sound Waves Magazine as "songwriting at its best... good for your ears and your soul." She will be performing with her band The Highway Philosophers.

Joining them will be The Honey Badgers, a folk/Americana duo from Delaware formed in 2011 by Michael Natrin and Erin Magnin. The pair are acclaimed for their intense harmonies, honest lyrics, and captivating stage presence.

Admission to the show is $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors, payable in cash at the door. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by emailing fanwoodperformance@gmail.com.

The Fanwood Performance Series is presented by Mayor Colleen Mahr and the Fanwood Borough Cultural Arts Council, with support from a HEART Grant from the Union County Board of County Commissioners.
