Rotary hosts bean bag toss tourney

The Chanhassen Evening Rotary Club hosts its second annual Cornhole Tournament 2-6 p.m. Sunday, May 19.

The event takes place at the SouthWest Village transit station, 650 SouthWest Village Drive, Chanhassen, near the highways 101 and 212 intersection.

Practice and food start at 1 p.m., with the tourney starting at 2 p.m. There is a limit of 32 teams, made up of two people per team. There will be cash prizes for the 1st-3rd winners, according to a press release.

Cost to play is $40 per team and includes a beverage. Walk-ins cost $45 per team.

Tournament play will be double elimination. First place garners $400, with second place receiving $200, and third place receiving $100.

Beside tournament play, the event includes food trucks, beer, raffles, and music. Event held rain or shine.

Proceeds from the event will directly impact the local or surrounding communities, benefiting veterans' families, tree planting, as well as international projects, according to the press release.
