Eskom will cut power in parts of Cape Town for nine hours to conduct maintenance on essential electricity infrastructure.
Crews will carry out the work either on Thursday, 18 September, from 7:30 to 16:30, or on Thursday, 25 September, during the same hours, depending on weather conditions.
The City of Cape Town has noted that interruptions to the electricity supply will only affect the highlighted area on the maps and will only occur on the specified date if al goes to plan.

The City of Cape Town warned that electricity supply could return at any time and urged customers to treat all electrical installations as live throughout the planned maintenance work.
"Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution and to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on.
"The City of Cape Town apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks residents for their cooperation and understanding," the metro municipality said.
