Multiple fundraising opportunities have been planned in support of a three-year-old girl who was struck and killed in a Pocatello store parking lot last weekend.
On Saturday, May 24, three-year-old Kamari Jade Alvarez was walking with family outside the Costco store in southeastern Idaho when someone driving a Dodge Ram truck struck her, according to details provided by KSL. Alvarez sustained fatal injuries as a result.
The girl's family has set up a GoFundMe with the hopes of raising $5,000 to help with expenses.
'Her absence leaves such a big hole in all our hearts, as she was such a happy little girl who smiled much and loved to play all day', were the words shared by a relative on the GoFundMe page set up for the young girl taken way too soon. 'From our heart thank-you! Your prayers are also felt and so appreciated'.
No details have been provided regarding the identity of the driver who struck and killed Kamari. A funeral mass and graveside service is planned for Saturday, May 31, and more than $15,000 has been raised so far, according to GoFundMe and Wilkes Funeral Homes.
