Even though winter is here, we are already thinking spring with the 30th Annual Rose Sale starting soon! This special opportunity allows you to spread joy while supporting a worthy cause. LIFE Mower County's 30th Annual Rose Sale offers beautiful long-stemmed red and lollipop (multi-colored) roses to brighten homes, offices, and hearts.
The sale runs from Feb. 18 through March 20, with pick-up and delivery scheduled for Tuesday, April 8. Customers can pick up their orders between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at 401 2nd Ave NE, Austin -- north of the Salvation Army Thrift Store and west of Riverside Arena, in the building connected to the Mower County Senior Center. For added convenience, delivery is available between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on April 8.
All proceeds from the sale will benefit LIFE Mower County's programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as Down syndrome, Cerebral palsy, Autism, and Epilepsy. These funds provide vital resources and support services, enhancing the lives of those in the community.
The Rose Sale offers several ways for individuals and businesses to participate:
* At Work: Organize a workplace rose sale and deliver the flowers directly to your office.
* At School: Encourage students to sell roses to support their peers in LIFE programs.
* In Your Neighborhood: Rally friends, family, and neighbors to place orders.
* Brighten Someone's Day: Purchase roses for customers, employees, or loved ones.
LIFE Mower County also seeks volunteers to assist in various aspects of the sale:
* Rose Sale Coordinators: Help organize sales at local businesses, churches, and community locations.
* Promotion: Distribute posters and order forms to spread the word.
* Pick-Up & Delivery Assistance: Volunteers are needed on April 8 to help distribute and deliver orders.
Orders and payments must be submitted by March 20. For more information or to get involved, call 507-433-8994 or email info@lifemowercounty.org.
