CENTRE -- Spring Garden basketball star Ace Austin can head to Alabama this fall knowing that if nothing else, she and her high school teammates are the queens of the county.
The Panthers hammered Sand Rock 77-26 in the Cherokee County girls basketball finals Saturday night. That clinched Spring Garden's sixth straight county championship, and the streak started when Austin stepped into the lineup as the starting point guard when she was a seventh-grader.
