After Steven Tyler's health issues, Aerosmith are focusing on archival releases in 2025.
Mitch Lafon tweeted, "Earlier today, AEROSMITH announced the best news you'll hear all day:
"From the 1970's to the 2020's we have a lot of classic Aerosmith things coming from the archives!"
Throw open the doors to the vaults... and BRING IT ON! I'm ready!'
On February 2, 2025, Steven Tyler, the legendary frontman of Aerosmith, made a triumphant return to the stage during the "Jam for Janie" event at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. This marked his first major performance since Aerosmith announced their retirement from touring in August 2024, following Tyler's vocal injury.
At 76, Tyler delivered electrifying renditions of Aerosmith classics, including "Dream On," "Sweet Emotion," and "Walk This Way." He also surprised the crowd with a heartfelt cover of Extreme's "More Than Words," showcasing his recovery and enduring vocal talent.
The event was more than just a musical spectacle; it served a philanthropic purpose. Proceeds from "Jam for Janie" supported Janie's Fund, Tyler's foundation aiding girls who have suffered from abuse and neglect. Additionally, a portion of the funds went to Los Angeles firefighter organizations in recognition of their efforts during recent wildfires.
Tyler was joined by an all-star lineup, including Mick Fleetwood, Nuno Bettencourt, Lainey Wilson, and Aerosmith's bassist Tom Hamilton. Their performances added to the night's energy and excitement.
While Aerosmith's touring days have come to an end, Tyler's return reaffirmed his resilience, passion for music, and commitment to making a positive impact.
