Kim Kardashian Freaks Out About Wardrobe Malfunction Ahead of White House Meeting

"Nothing like a little wardrobe wig malfunction to get the day going," the TV personality said of her April 2024 visit to the White House

Kim Kardashian faced an ill-timed wardrobe malfunction moments before arriving at the White House.

Kardashian, an advocate for criminal justice reform, visited former Vice President Kamala Harris during the season 6 premiere of The Kardashians. But, the visit didn't start on a great foot.

On the way to the White House, Kardashian, 44, reevaluated her outfit and realized it wasn't as conservative as she would have liked. As the SKIMS co-founder rides in the car with attorneys Erin Haney and Jessica Jackson, she pointed out how much cleavage her black blazer showed, and how it wasn't appropriate for the meeting.

"I love being here. But I'm also literally falling apart," she said in her confessional.

The show then cut back to Kardashian in the car as she said, "I mean it's still boobing out," She asked if they could pull over so Haney could grab Kardashian's black sports bra and she could change in the car.

"The only other option I had is to switch and put on the sports bra that I wore on the flight here so it has a higher neckline," Kardashian said in her confessional.

As they approached the entrance, Kardashian rapidly changed her top, calling out that they were running late.

"I'm just spiraling, but we're gonna be so late. I'm changing in the car, trying to figure it out. [My] wig's falling off. There's just like a lot going on," Kardashian revealed in her confessional. "Nothing like a little wardrobe wig malfunction to get the day going."

Although the behind-the-scenes footage of Kardashian's visit to Washington D.C. was a bit more hectic than the TV personality preferred, at the April 25 meeting Harris expressed gratitude for Kardashian's activism for prisoners in the U.S.

The Kardashians star participated in a roundtable discussion about criminal justice reform with Harris, White House public engagement director Steve Benjamin and several recently pardoned former inmates.

"I want to thank Kim for your advocacy and for using your platform in a way that has really lifted up the importance of talking about and being dedicated to second chances," Harris said in a video of the meeting shared by the White House on YouTube.

Kardashian then addressed the newly-pardoned panelists, including Beverly Holcy, Jason Hernandez, Bobby Darrell Lowery, and Jesse Mosley, and said, "I am super honored to be here to hear your stories today," per USA Today.

"I think it's so important to share them and amplify them because there are so many people that are in your position that could use the inspiration," Kardashian said. "I'm just here to help and spread the word."
