Bengals Re-Sign Defensive End to One-Year Deal

CINCINNATI -- The Bengals extended one of the team's top picks from the 2021 draft. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported defensive end Joseph Ossai is linking back up with Cincinnati on a one-year, $7 million deal.

The former third-round pick is coming off the best season of his career on special teams but was a little hit-or-miss rushing the passer. He totaled totaled 31 pressures, 46 tackles, and five sacks on a career-high 576 snaps during the 2024 season.

The 24-year-old gets another chance to show he can be a leveled-up pass rusher this fall. He should have plenty of chances with Sam Hubbard's retirement and Trey Hendrickson's future in flux.
