Community voting for this year's Broomfield Days Grand Marshal is open through Wednesday.
The Grand Marshal is a crucial part of the county's annual Broomfield Days celebration, riding at the front of the parade and honored on stage as a community member who helps make Broomfield a great place to live.
This year, voters have a choice between six candidates -- former city council member Larry Cooper, Broomfield FISH Food Operations Manager Mike Lutz, North Metro Fire District Fire Chief David Ramos, Broomfield resident Joan Pallone, Director of Public Works Ken Rutt and Broomfield Crossing Rotary President Holly Taylor.
Broomfield Days, the city's biggest event, takes place on Sept. 20 at Midway Park,1270 W. Midway Blvd., Broomfield. The festival features a parade, more than 300 vendors and food trucks, a car show, a kids' clown contest, live music, inflatables for kids and much more.
