The Black Keys Announce New Tour Following 2024 Debacle: "Sh*t Happens"

Famed garage rock outfit The Black Keys are going to give it another try in 2025. The "Howlin' For You" hitmakers just announced the first leg of their No Rain No Flowers Tour of North America this year, slated to kick off in May and June of 2025.

Fans are looking forward to it, considering 2024's tour attempt wasn't exactly great. The band, quite dramatically, canceled their planned 2024 International Players Road Trip Tour after poor ticket sales led to the band completely firing their management team.

It wasn't a great situation, but there is a bright side to it all. The duo, made up of Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach, said that the cancellation of the tour gave them a chance to record a new album.

The band is set to release the first single from their upcoming record, titled "The Night Before", on February 7. Carney, who drums for the band, talked a bit about the whole debacle and the positive side of it in a recent press release.

"After the tour was canceled, the consensus was, 'Sh*t happens, and you just have to move through it,'" said Carney. "We were already on a creative streak, and the best thing we could do, rather than sit at home, was just go back in the studio. Get back to work. So, that's how the record started."

"Writing and recording has always been therapy for us, from the very beginning," Auerbach also said. "We communicate best that way. It has always been the thing that's brought us together, so I'm not surprised at all that we ended up back there so quickly after the last album."

Hopefully, this tour will go smoother than the last. We're certainly looking forward to it!

The Black Keys will also perform a few one-off sets ahead of the upcoming tour in February and April. Tickets for the No Rain No Flowers Tour will go on sale on February 7 at 10:00 am local time.
